“The best use of imagination is creativity. The worst use of imagination is anxiety.” ~ Deepak Chopra
I have created this training content on Managing Anxiety exclusively for you!
Below you will find a video module and a guided meditation. Plus, at the bottom of this page are 4 links.
These links take you to the supplementary workbook to go along with this video, the book that I recommend this month, the Zoom call and our FB group. Read on to understand how it all works!
The intention of this video are:
- To identify if you are dealing with anxiety.
- To learn why anxiety happens.
- To explore short term tools for managing anxiety.
- To discover strategies that will help you to be free from anxiety in the long term.
Take some time to enjoy the following guided meditation to support you as you take steps to manage your anxiety. This meditation is a great short term tool to help you as you work through the longer term strategies – which may trigger anxiety as you begin to put them into practice.
Workbook: You can download this month’s workbook on the link below. It’s designed to supplement the video module so that you can go deeper into this topic and bring it to life.
Book of the month: I have recommended that you read David A. Carbonell PhD’s book, The Worry Trick to go deeper into this month’s topic. It asks, are you truly in danger or has your brain simply “tricked” you into thinking you are? David shows how anxiety hijacks the brain and offers effective techniques to help you break the cycle of worry, once and for all.
Zoom Call: August’s Zoom call will be at 5pm SAST on Tuesday 27th August and will last for approximately 1 hour. Join on the link below, or use zoom room number 633042743. This will always be our Rising Guru meeting place.
Facebook group: If you have ANY questions, thoughts, ideas or inspirations as you work your way through, please reach out to me. You can DM me through the FB page, in the FB group or on my Instagram @itslisawelsh. I also invite any questions you’d like to be covered on the zoom call – so please submit those in advance in the FB group, linked below.
Finally, please remember that this is your space, so feel free to offer suggestions, recommendations and even complaints so that I can serve you better.
Thank you for being here!
